Official GWR Commemorative Plaque bearing the inscription 8.55 AM Birmingham to Paddington Friday 1st July 1910 - First 2 Hour Train - Engine 2902 - Fireman G. Brookes. Mounted on a wooden shield within a horse shoe. The shield is branded 'GWR' on the rear and the central, top hanging hook is also stamped 'GWR'. Measures 9 x 10 approximately and is in excellent condition having hung in the family home for a very long time. Note GWR Engine 2902 was Saint Class Lady Of The Lake.
