North London Tramway Fusee Pocket Watch, by G.Taylor Fenton. A top quality English made fusee watch with back wind and key set to the hands, the movement is engraved 9758 G.Taylor Fenton and is in cleaned and working condition. The dial is free from chips and has THE NORTH LONDON TRAMWAY Co enamelled onto it. The North London Tramways Company operated from 1885 25 Merryweather and Dick, Kerr steam engines hauling long-wheelbase Falcon trailers, until its liquidation in 1891. The North Metropolitan Tramway Company took over in 1891 and switched back to horses, in 1896 all lines were taken over and operated by the county council itself and subsequently on 1 July 1933 the London County Council Tramways passed to the London Passenger Transport Board (LPTB), known as London Transport. A rare a possibly unique survivor from this company.
