North Eastern Railway 8 inch oak cased drop dial clock with a wire driven movement. The rectangular plated wire driven fusee movement is in good clean condition and the original dial is lettered 1743, BR(E) in Ghost and has had LNER re applied. The oak case has a bottom door and a side door and retains its original cast bezel. This clock was supplied to the North Eastern Railway circa 1870 by Reid and Son of Newcastle On Tyne and the LNER clock records show it was last in use at Blyth Yard Master Stores Superintendent.
