North Eastern Railway 12in dial mahogany cased railway clock with a spun brass bezel and a chain driven English fusee movement with A frame screwed plates stamped W&H SCH which stands for Winterhalder & Hofmeier of Schwarzenbach Germany and has been professionally cleaned and restored. The original dial is lettered LNER 2898 and also ghosted N.E.R. 791. The case has one side door and a bottom door secured with a brass turn. The LNER clock records show this clock was last in railway use at Darlington, District Engineer Stores Office, Whessoe Lane Shops and that it was NER clock number 791, a copy of this accompanies the clock. In working condition but not checked for accuracy complete with pendulum and key.
