NER or possibly earlier Oak cased drop dial fusee clock No 4991, this early clock supplied by Potts and Sons of Leeds dates from around 1866 and was possibly originally supplied to the York and North Midland Rly, upon close inspection of the dial a fairly indistinct marking appears below the BR lettering and below this Railway Co can be clearly seen . The fusee movement is of substantial proportions and is in working condition. The LNER clock records show this clock being located at Micklefield Booking office and platform and due to the movement having a slave drive, subsequently removed I doubt if it ever left it's original location.
