Nameplate ST. MAWES CASTLE ex British Railways Class 43 HST 43094. Allocated new to Craigentinny Jul 1978. Named at Laira Depot Jan 2020 and removed when taken out of service Dec 2023. Currently stored at Laira. Rectangular cast aluminium in as removed condition measures 41.75in x 13.75in. Sold on behalf of Great Western Railway for their chosen charities and comes with an official GWR certificate of authenticity confirming the original owner. Note this is the last scheduled batch of these plates to be offered for auction by GWR.
