Nameplate SHORWELL ex L&SWR Adams O2 0-4-4T built at Eastleigh in 1892 and numbered 219. Transferred to the Isle Of Wight in April 1926 and numbered W30 and named Shorwell. Allocated to Newport and 70H Ryde from where it was withdrawn in September 1965 and scrapped at Newport. Rectangular cast brass in nicely restored condition, measures in long. Shorwell is a small village on the island near to the famous Jurassic coast between Blackgang Chine and Freshwater Bay and was a favourite place to visit for Queen Victoria.
