Nameplate LANCASTER together with its matching worksplate PECKETT & SONS ATLASS ENGINE WORKS BRISTOL No 468 1888. Supplied new to the Bestwood Coal & Iron Co near Nottingham. nameplate rectangular cast brass face restored measures 36.5in x 6in, worksplate oval engraved brass in lightly cleaned condition measures 12.875in x 10in. A lovely pair with a very early pattern worksplate.
