Nameplate HOPTON GRANGE ex Great Western Railway Collett Grange Class 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1939 as order number 308 and numbered 6865. Allocated to Old Oak Common, Reading, Carmarthen, Laira, Ebbw Junction and 82B St Philips Marsh from where it was withdrawn in May 1965 and scrapped at Swindon Works. In very good restored condition with R 6865 stamped in the back indicating this is the right hand side plate. The Grange was near Montgomery.
