Nameplate EARL OF PLYMOUTH. Ex GWR 4-6-0 Castle Class locomotive built Swindon Works as Denbigh Castle, April 1936. First shed allocation Worcester. Renamed August 1937. August 1950 shed allocation Cardiff Canton. March 1959 shed allocation Newton Abbot. Final allocation Bristol, Saint Philip's Marsh from where withdrawal took place in March 1963.Face restored long ago, rear has red oxide. Clear bracket marks on rear and the original bolt mounting holes are filled with brass rivets. Originally fitted to Dukedog 3206 Built November 1936 from the frame of 3428 and the boiler of 3267. Original BR paperwork accompanies.
