Nameplate City of Newcastle upon Tyne with integral Badge. Ex HST Class 43 number 43113 built by BREL Crewe and introduced to traffic in February 1979. It was the very first IC125 to be named and the ceremony took place at Newcastle Central station on 26th April 1983, the unveiling by the Lord Mayor of Newcastle and a BR Guard. Changed to a reflective plate in February 1993. Face has red ground, badge a white ground, rear totally ex loco.
