Nameplate, CITY OF LIVERPOOL ex Great Central Railway Robinson Class 1 4-6-0 built at Gorton in December 1913 and numbered 428, later becoming LNER B2 Class No 5428 and re-classified as B19 Class in 1945. Renumbered 1493 in 1946, it was withdrawn from Immingham in April 1947 and subsequently scrapped. Face restored rectangular cast brass complete with part of its original ends which are sometimes cut off, measures 54in x 7in. See next lot for the worksplate.
