Nameplate CITY OF LICHFIELD. Ex BR/EE 25kv Bo-Bo Class 86 originally numbered E3179. Built by the English Electric Co under works number E3471/E317 in October 1965. Renumbered 86207 under TOPS in June 1973 and was named on the 2nd March 1981 by Lady Leonora, Countess of Lichfield at Lichfield Trent Valley Station. Withdrawn from service in July 2002 and finally scrapped in 2006 at Ron Hull Jr, Rotherham. This plate is a Swindon casting. Note: The other side was sold in our May 2009 auction.
