Nameplate THE BOBBY, ex Class 47 number 47743 originally D1772 built 1964. Named at Bristol Temple Meads on 30/3/95 by the BTP Assistant Chief Constable. The loco was derailed at Shelton Bridge near York on 24/7/95 and fell down a 30' embankment. The nameplates were removed for security reasons but the loco ended up being cut-up, beyond economical repair, at the site of the accident. New plates were fitted, in November 1995, to 47746, originally D1754 built 1964. Plate is a neat, 59 in length, totally ex loco and comes with the EWS certificate of authenticity.
