Nameplate THE BERKELEY ex Gresley D49 4-4-0 built at Darlington in 1934 and originally numbered LNER 222, 2754 and BR 62754. Allocated to Scarborough, York and 50C Hull Botanic Gardens from where it was withdrawn in November 1958 and scrapped at Darlington Works. Curved cast brass nicely face restored, rear of nameplate stamped L 222 indicating its is the left hand plate, original fox not stamped. Named after the Hunt in Gloucestershire which is one of the oldest in the country.
