Nameplate Badge GREAT WESTERN RAILWAY COMPANY, ex Class 47 number 47500 GREAT WESTERN. Cast alloy with welded-in bolts, this magnificent crest accompanied the nameplate that was originally fitted with a transfer type, square type logo. This circular badge was fitted on 24th April 1979. A further two 'twinning' plates cast in brass, were fitted even later. All removed in September 1991. Totally original condition with original paint.
