Nameplate AXIAL with matching circular badge. Ex British Railways class 47 47228 originally numbered D1904. Built September 1965 under works number 666 and allocated to Newport. Named at Mossend Euro terminal on the 26th September 1995. Withdrawn in March 1998 and stored at Bescot for component recovery. Purchased by Fragonset on 2002 and taken to MOD Kineton in November 2002. Finally scrapped and cut up at EMR, Kingsbury on July 14th 2007. The most unique of all Class 47 nameplates having all lower case lettering. Cast aluminium in as removed condition nameplate measures 45.5in x 9.5in and the badge 9.75in diameter. Complete with EWS Certificate of Authenticity.
