Nameplate ACTON HALL, ex GWRA Hall Class 4-6-0 Locomotive numbered 4982. Built January 1931 and allocated new to Weymouth. By nationalisation, she had found her way to Goodwick and in August 1950 moved the short distance to Neyland. March 1959 saw a move to the Midlands and allocation to Tyseley. Finally withdrawn from Plymouth Laira and cut up in 1962 at Swindon Works. Clearly stamped Lot 268 and 4982 R I N on the rear indicating this was the right hand plate. Appears to be in wonderful, original condition.
