Midland Railway 12in dial mahogany cased railway clock with a spun brass bezel and a chain driven English fusee movement with rectangular frame screwed plates stamped W&H SCH which stands for Winterhalder & Hofmeier of Schwarzenbach Germany. The movement has been professionally cleaned and restored. The original dial is lettered BR-W. The case has one side door and a bottom door secured with a brass turn and its LMS brass numberplate 10608 is pinned to the bottom of the one piece surround. The clock probably originates from for the area including Gloucestershire, Worcestershire & The Severn and Wye and would have been re written BR-W at Reading after the regional boundary changes. In working condition but not checked for accuracy complete with pendulum and key and receipt for work carried out.
