Manchester Sheffield & Lincolnshire Railway 12 inch fusee clock by Arnold and Lewis of Manchester Circa 1870. This clock is in nice original condition complete with the following dial writing, LNER 8033 and clearly visible as Ghosted writing ARNOLD & LEWIS No 533 MANCHESTER, the ebonised case is also in excellent condition and the early chain driven fusee movement with shaped shoulders, turned ringed pillars and cut outs to the bottom of the plates has recently been oiled and is in fully working condition. The LNER clock records show this clock as being located at Barnby Dun Station, Kirk Sandal Signal Box, this was a former MS&L station now closed on the line between Doncaster and Thorne. Rare to find a MS&L clock in this condition.
