London and North Western Railway 8in mahogany cased English fusee railway clock. The English fusee movement has rectangular plates held together by turned pillars, the dial has been professionally re written in the correct style by DR D.R. Parr and reads L&NWR JNo Walker 127 Fenchurch St & 63 New Bond St London 8138 (this number is the Walker clock number not the LNWR clock number). The case, with a turned surround and LNWR enamel numberplate 788 screwed to the right hand side has one side door and a bottom door secured with a catch. A nice clock in working condition complete with pendulum and key. Circa 1870 and from the Liverpool area.
