London and North Western Railway 12 inch dial mahogany cased fusee railway clock supplied to the LNWR around 1870-1880 by W.H.Rees of Abergavenny. The rectangular plated wire driven fusee movement has rectangular plates and turned pillars. The mahogany case with a BR-W ivorine numberplate 4327 screwed to the right hand side has a thin one piece turned surround dovetailed back box with one side door and a replaced bottom door. The original dial is lettered W.H.REES ABERGAVENNY. In working condition but not checked for accuracy complete with pendulum and key. Rees supplied clocks to the LNWR including lines on the Heads of the Valleys which later came under Western Region control
