London & North Western & Great Western Railway 14in dial mahogany cased regulator railway wall clock supplied By Joyce circa 1850-60. The A shaped plated movement has four spoke wheels, deadbeat escapement, Harrisons maintaining power, a wire line and a wooden pendulum rod with a brass bob and cast iron weight and is in good clean condition. The original dial with JOYCE WHITCHURCH is in good condition and the mahogany case with arched front door is in excellent condition with the GWR ivorine numberplate GWR 2465 screwed inside and stands 63in tall. A superb example in working order but not checked for accuracy complete with pendulum, key and weight and also its subsidiary 14in slave dial and rod which is ghosted BR-W. A nice chance to obtain one of these clocks that were used on the Joint Shrewsbury and Hereford line.
