London & North Eastern Railway fully engraved Worksplate No 1568 Doncaster 1923. Ex A3 4-6-2 Pacific Locomotive ROYAL LANCER. Originally numbered 4476, it later became 506 and then 107 which precluded the BR number 60107. Allocations were varied, initially at Grantham but swapping regularly to Kings Cross and back. In 1950 it saw service at Leicester for a while and ended its days at New England from where withdrawal took place in September 1963. The plate is mounted on a wooden board, constructed by fitters at Top Shed where the original owner, well known top link driver Reg Clark worked.
