Locomotive Nameplate BRICKLEHAMPTON HALL. Ex GWR 4-6-0 'Modified Hall' Class Locomotive number 6973, built Swindon October 1947 and allocated new to Old Oak Common. Remained in the London area for many years and ended up at Bristol Barrow Road from where withdrawal took place in August 1965 and subsequently cut up at Cashmores, Newport in November 1965. The back is clearly stamped with usual Swindon identification and the letter 'R' indicating the right-hand side. A magnificent, 'extended backplate', half-beaded nameplate measuring an impressive 76
