Locomotive Headboard BR(S), cast aluminium, BRITTANY EXPRESS. As fitted to predominently Bulleid Locos on the Waterloo to Southampton Docks train that ran from 1954 until 1964. Totally unrestored, the plate has been welded down the centre and also on the top corner whilst in service. Plenty of knocks as you would expect to the lamp mounting brackets. Has 'Nine Ems' clearly stencilled on the rear. A rare plate that has never appeared at auction anywhere before.
