LMS C/I Tenderplate No 4189 dated 1930. Ex 2-6-0 'Crab' Locomotive originally numbered 13154, later 42854. Introduced 1926, this loco was well traveled and allocations include Longsight, Rugby, Aston, Stockport and Birkenhead. Interestingly, this loco was scrapped at Crewe Works in Nov 1963 yet the plate was purchased, along with the following lot, from Birds scrapyard, Long Marston. It is evident that either the tender went to Birds separately, or, it was fitted to another 'Crab' which was scrapped at Birds.
