Midland Railway mahogany cased Pegging Block Instrument, case stamped MRCo twice on the top, traffolite plated DN. BCH LOCKES SDGS. The sidings were at Goose Hill Junction serving the St. Johns Colliery to Parkhill Pit, Wakefield. The instrument is almost certainly ex Goose Hill Junction Signal Box. In original condition, varnish starting to crack, stands 19in tall.

Withdrawn April 1966 and cut up at Cashmores, Newport in September that year. Measures 3.75in x 1.75in, thick brass with details painted on rear and SER triangle integral to casting.

Shedplate 41A Sheffield Darnall November 1957-June 1963 for steam, October 1965 totally. Formerly 39B, this ex GCR shed had 100 locos allocated in the period it carried this code, most notably 10 GCR D11 4-4-0s. The code was then adopted in 1964 by the new diesel depot at Tinsley, where several locos carried these cast iron plates. Face restored.

Original Shedplate 55F Bradford Manningham February 1957 to April 1967, then Bradford Hammerton Street December 1967 to 1973. The ex MR shed at Manningham, formerly 20E in the LMR, had 25 locos on its books when using this code. The former GNR shed at Hammerton Street was converted into a diesel depot and many of its allocation of DMUs and diesel shunters carried this code. Face restored.

Original Shedplate 67A Corkerhill 1949-May 1967. This ex GSWR shed had a substantial allocation of around 90 locos during the 1950s, most notably a handful of elusive Jubilees. Instrument Panel from English Electric Class 23 Baby Deltic. A triangular panel with 2 gauges still fitted, one for Train Heating and one for Water Contents. Retains original BR green as removed. Entered service in May 1959 and allocated to Hornsey. Withdrawn after just over 10 years service on 23/11/69 and cut up at Cohens, Kettering. A remarkable survivor from one of only 10 in the class, none of which survived into preservation.

Shedplate 82E Yeovil Pen Mill 1949-February 1958, then Bristol Barrow Road February 1958-November 1965. The ex GWR shed at Yeovil housed just 10 locos during this period. It was transferred from the WR to the SR becoming 71H, finally closing in January 1959. The ex Midland shed at Barrow Road, Bristol was transferred from the MR 22A to the WR in 1958. At this time its allocation of around 50 locos included 3 Patriots and 9 Jubilees. However, by 1965 the depot had been westernised with an allocation that included 11 Halls and 2 Granges in its total of 40 locos. Restored with Swindon casting marks on rear.

Shedplate 88A Cardiff Cathays 1949 - December 1957, then Cardiff Radyr December 1957 - October 1960, then Cardiff Canton October 1960 - September 1962. The ex TVR shed at Cathays had an allocation of 80 locos, while ex GWR shed Radyr had 55 locos during this period. Ex GWR Canton had an allocation of 130 included 12 Britannias until September 1961. Canton closed to steam in September 1962 and became a diesel depot. Unrestored, Swindon casting mark on edge.

An incredible collection of GWR Luggage Labels meticulously indexed in a two draw wooden cabinet and an additional single draw wooden cabinet. Certainly a lifetime labour of love and of all the labels ever issued, an enclosed list shows that labels wanted amounts to a mere 41 stations. An accompanying hand written book appears to list alphabetically, every GWR station and is indexed with various keys including in a few cases, cost to purchase and stations known to not have labels issued. Accompanying is the Handbook of Luggage Labels of the Great Western Railway 2nd edition dated 2006 by Mike Marr and also the Honnor Booklet Great Western Luggage Labels Checklist dated July 1996. Additionally, there is a plastic box with a small selection on non GWR Labels also indexed in an accompanying book.

Shedplate 89B Brecon 1949 - November 1959. This ex B & M shed lost its allocation of 13 locos in November 1959 and became a sub shed of 89A Oswestry. For some reason the WR authorities decided to recode it 88K in January 1961, but no engines were ever allocated! It remained open until December 1962. In restored condition with casting marks on rear.

GWR 30 volt Hotplate Oven with brass handle and brass plate on front door showing GWR No 2788 V30 A25. An amazing survivor, possibly from an early restaurant car. Measures 17in tall x 8.5in wide x 10in deep. Behind the front lower panel are the 2 battery connectors, the connecting cable for which would have fed through the central hole. Inside is a circular hotplate at bottom and a separate warming shelf above. In extremely good condition although not tested in any way. Despite the high number, this is certainly the first seen.

An interesting box of miniature Advertising Poster Hoardings originally belonging to an outside advertising company. The components, some double sided, have magnetic feet that stand on the metal base to demonstrate how the company could erect multiple posters sites. It was left at the town planning department where the vendor's father worked around 1964.
