GWR Signal Inspectors Voltmeter/Ammeter manufactured by Weston Electrical Instruments, Newark N.J.. A substantial, wooden cased instrument with central 'banana' shaped indicating dial surrounded by a quite ornate brass panel and multi level measuring connectors in two vertical rows. Although not marked GWR, it has a wonderful, ivorine plate attached inside the lid indicating Telegraph Inspector G.W.R. Signal Dept Worcester A wonderful instrument, the likes of which have not been seen previously and likewise, the accompanying instrument which is a bakelite AC Voltmeter, also made by the same company. This too is quite stunning and although not marked railway in any way, was owned by an ex Worcester Area Signallling Inspector.
