GWR Nameplate BRIDGWATER CASTLE. Ex GWR 'Castle Class' 4-6-0 locomotive built Swindon Works in June 1939 and numbered 5096. First and August 1950 shed allocations Bristol, Bath Road. Double chimney and 4 row superheater fitted January 1959. March 1959 shed allocation Bristol, Bath Road. Had a few spells at Weston-S-Mare and Taunton before going to Cardiff Canton then Cardiff East Dock. Final allocation was Worcester from where withdrawal took place in June 1964.
