GWR locomotive nameplate COUNTY OF MERIONETH. Built April 1946 and numbered 1019. First shed allocation was Newton Abbot, then Penzance in 1951, Shrewsbury 1951, Stafford Road 1953, Swindon 1954-1962 and lastly Shrewsbury in 1966 from where it Withdrawn in February 1963. Scrapped at Cashmore's, Great Bridge. The Plate is stamped in the back L 1019 and comes with original British Railways Swindon receipt. The first time this name has been offered at auction.
