Commencing in 1936 with Alliance Francaise Paddington to Torquay May 20th and Torquay to Exeter the day after. Next HM King Edward VIII Paddington to Tavistock June 3rd 1936; Sir Charles Hambro (with written name on both menus); Lord Mayor of London Party; Grand Union Canal Party; Arrival of RMS Queen Mary at Plymouth 15th March 1937; Ulster Prince; Fry's Somerdale. Then into BR days including Inaugural Voyage SS St David Fishguard to Rosslare and a huge amount more of special visits, special boat trains, HRH Princess Elizabeth Dartmouth to Paddington June 1949 etc. A wonderful record that must have been kept at Paddington Station. Must be viewed to appreciate fully. Includes a copy of the Tavistock newspaper to show King Edward VIII returned to London from the town not by train but by air.
