GWR C/I Signalbox Board GLOUCESTER LOOP JUNCTION SIGNAL BOX. Opened on 8th January 1906 when the Hatherley Loop was constructed to take Banbury & Kingham trains directly to Gloucester. Prior to World War 2, the loop carried the once a day in each direction 'Ports Express' between Newcastle and Swansea and also heavy ironstone trains between Oxfordshire and South Wales. The box closed in 1956. Measures 10' 6 in length and is in clean, ex box condition. (Must be removed from the sale room on the day)
