GWR brass Cabside Numberplate 3370. Ex Bulldog Class 4-4-0 locomotive, built Swindon Works March 1903. Named SIR JOHN LLEWELYN after one of the GWR Directors who served the company between 1892-1922. Allocated new to Swindon, it also worked out of Oxford and Banbury. Withdrawn from Bristol Bath Road from where withdrawal took place in February 1939. Top rim stamped 'Engine Class 4.4.0 A.23' and the bottom rim is stamped 'Boiler Class B.A.'. The rear is stamped '3422' which was the original number of SIR JOHN LLEWELYN, the loco being renumbered to 3370 in the 1912 renumbering scheme that the GWR implemented. Originally, 3370 was Bulldog TREMAYNE but this loco carried a combined name & numberplate. Face cleaned, rear ex loco.
