GWR 12in mahogany cased drop dial chisel bottom fusee clock. An early GWR clock by John Walker of London, the substantial chain driven fusee movement has cut outs at the bottom of the plates and a tear drop shaped back cock. The movement is stamped 7773, as is the pendulum. The fine figured mahogany case has been repolished but retains its original cast brass bezel correctly hinged to the left and its GWR ivorine plate No 269 albeit with the bottom corners cut out. A fine and impressive clock dating from around 1870, in fine working condition, complete with pendulum and key.
