Great Western Railway 12 inch teak cased drop dial chisel bottom fusee railway clock with a large rectangular plated chain driven fusee movement. The one piece turned surround has had part of the top cut down and has one side door and a bottom door with the lock removed and replaced with a GWR ball bearing catch. The bezel, still with its wartime black finish, requires the hinge to be soldered back on. The GWR ivorine clock numberplate GWR 1192 is screwed to the front of the drop. The dial has been repainted BR-W post 1948 and has some areas of paint loss. A very early GWR clock supplied by John Walker of London circa 1860-1870. Requires some restoration but complete with pendulum and key and appears to be working.
