The top of the box section carries a brass plate inscribed BREYDON. This significant Midland & Great Northern Railway location was where the 5 span swing bridge across Breydon Water was used to connect Yarmouth Beach station with the Great Eastern Railway line from Yarmouth South Town at Gorleston.
