Great Northern Railway 8in mahogany cased fusee clock by John Walker of London. The English wire driven fusee movement has rectangular plates and turned pillars and is in good clean condition. The dial has been repainted post 1948 by the clock workshops at Doncaster and now displays BR(E) 9797. The LNER clock records confirm that clock No 9797 was last in use at Holloway Carriage Sidings Box and was previously GNR clock no 960. A nice 19th century Walker timepiece in working condition complete with pendulum , key and a copy of the clock record, but not tested for timekeeping.
