Great Northern Railway 12 oak cased fusee Clock by Stockall Marples & Co Ltd of London. The cleaned and overhauled fusee movement is in excellent working order and the oak case is retains its original finish now just lightly waxed. The dial has been repainted post 1948 and now reads B.R.(E) 9615, but clearly visible in Ghosted writing is G.N.R. 1043 Stockall Marples & Co Ltd London EC, the original GNR number 1043 is also stamped on the front plate of the movement and the top of the spring barrel. The LNER clock records show that this clock was in use at Eastville Station signal box, Eastville was a former Great Northern station between Boston and Firsby. Rare to see a nice pre grouping GNR clock in this condition and In full working order complete with pendulum and key.
