Great Eastern Railway 6inch Mahogany cased Fusee Bracket clock supplied to the G.E.R. circa 1890. The English chain driven fusee movement has rectangular plates with turned pillars, the original dial has been lightly restored in original style and displays G.E.R 1087 it retains its original cast brass bezel and sight ring. The mahogany case has a solid rear door with a keyed lock. The L.N.E.R. records show that this clock was used at Stratford Chief Mechanical Engineers department Subway Office and was transferred there in March 1940 replacing clock number 1396 which was destroyed by Enemy action. Complete with pendulum, keys and a copy of the LNER clock record. In working condition recently oiled but not tested for timekeeping, stands 14.25in tall.
