Great Eastern Railway 6inch Mahogany cased Fusee Bracket clock supplied to the G.E.R. by Bevan of Tottenham London circa 1880. The English chain driven fusee movement has rectangular snailed plates, the dial has been re written to its original style with GER 822 and retains its original cast brass bezel with a keyed lock. The Gothic style case has a glazed rear door with the GER ivorine numberplate 822 screwed to the inside. The L.N.E.R. records show that this clock was used at Liverpool Street Station Goods Manager. A rare and unusual Railway timepiece used by senior employees, complete with pendulum and keys and in working condition but not tested for timekeeping, stands 15in tall.
