Great Eastern Railway 16in dial teak cased railway clock with a cast brass bezel. The rectangular plated chain driven English fusee movement has G.E.R. stamped onto the backplate and are held together by turned screwed pillars, this would have been supplied to the GER circa 1900. The dial has been restored but on the back the later BR clock number 1208 is visible. The case has one side door and a bottom door secured with a brass lock. The LNER clock records show clock number 1208 as being in use at Lowestoft Waveney Fish Market Goods and was sent to Collectors Corner Euston for sale in July 1984. In working order but not checked for accuracy complete with pendulum and key. A copy of the clock record accompanies the lot.
