Great Central Railway oak cased 8 inch fusee railway bracket clock with a cast brass bezel and rectangular plated wire driven English fusee movement supplied to the GCR in the latter part 19th Century by Fitton of Heywood. The restored dial is lettered Fitton Heywood G.C.Ry 972, the rear of the dial is painted BR(E) 11088. The oak case is in nicely restored condition with one side door and a bottom door secured with brass turn. The LNER clock records show this clock as last in use at Grimsby Docks Port Masters Foremans Office and was originally GCR clock number 972. In working condition but not checked for accuracy complete with pendulum key and a copy of the LNER Clock record.
