Great Central Railway 8 inch mahogany cased fusee railway dial clock with a spun brass bezel and a rectangular plated chain driven English fusee movement. Supplied to the GCR around 1910 by Stockall & Marples of London. The original dial displays L.N.E.R. 9056 and visible as ghosted writing STOCKALL MARPLES & Co LONDON and its original clock number 0.156. The mahogany case has one side door and a bottom door and is in original good condition. The LNER clock record show this clock as last in use at the Sheffield Bridgehouses Goods Agents office and the copy of the record card shows its was originally GCR clock 0.156. Restored and overhauled by Dr D.R. Parr and complete with comprehensive information sheets, In working condition but not checked for accuracy complete with pendulum and keys and a copy of the clock record.
