Class 47 alloy Worksplate 'British Railways Crewe Built 1965, Power Equipment By Brush Electrical Engineering Company And Sulzer. Chalked on rear 47264 as was the practice for plates removed and destined for Collectors Corner where this was purchased. Stamped on the rear, top rim with the same information. 47264 was introduced in September 1965 and numbered D1964. It became 47264 in July 1974. 47619 in August 1984 and 47829 in June 1989. This loco caught fire 13/07/02 at Leamington Spa whilst in charge of a Birmingham - Banbury shuttle service. Totally ex loco condition.
