Cheshire Lines Joint Committee 12inch Oak cased fusee railway dial clock with a spun brass bezel supplied to the CLC around 1880. The A framed fusee movement is in good clean condition and the back plate is stamped W&H Sch which are the markings for Winterhalder & Hofmeier of Schwarzenbach Germany who were one of the main suppliers to the CLC clock contractors. The original white enamel dial lettered SCHURWATER & LLOYD LIVERPOOL C.L.C. No 400 has been lightly restored and the case is in nice original condition. This clock is featured on page 126 of the Railway Clocks book by the late I.P. Lyman and shows the dial before restoration. A rare clock. In working condition but not checked for accuracy complete with pendulum and key.
