Carriage Print GORLESTON-ON-SEA, NORFOLK by F Donald Blake R.I. from the LNER Post War series. Gorleston on Sea, Norfolk, just before1954, a beachside scene easily recognisable in 2006. The piers of the river mouth are visible in the background right whilst background left is marked by the strange box-like brick structure that was the 1901 Pavilion. The painting is made from the Upper Esplanade (left) facing Pier Gardens in the near distance. The two prominent buildings at centre are the 1893 Pier Hotel and the Floral Hall (now called the Ocean Room) of 1939. Mint condition. In original style frame and glazed.
