Caledonian Railway porcelain pen and ink stand, advertising Golf with the following on the side THE GOLFING GIRL AND ALL OF HER FRIENDS PLAY GOOD GOLF ON ALL THE GOLF COURSES OF THE DELIGHTFUL DISTRICTS SERVED BY THE CALEDONIAN RAILWAY, DONALD A MATHESON GENERAL MANAGER. The Stand is in the shape of a Golf bag and green with the ink pot being the hole. A rare item, probably used in the Caledonian Hotel in Edinburgh, in excellent condition with makers name W.H. Grindley & Co Ltd to the rear, stands 7in tall.
