Cabside Numberplate 2871. Ex GWR Heavy Freight 2-8-0 locomotive, built Swindon under lot 210 in November 1918. Initially allocated to Llanelly to work the arduous South Wales mineral/coal lines. It had spells at Bristol and Tyseley and by BR days it had found its way to Banbury then spent many years at Croes Newydd. Final depot was Taunton from where withdrawal took place in May 1963.
