Cabside Numberplate 1424, brass construction. Ex GWR 0-4-2T built Swindon in 1933 and originally numbered 4824. Initially allocated to Goodwick, it moved to Gloucester and became a favourite on the Chalford Push-Pull trains, clocking up almost a million miles, the highest of all the 14XX locomotives. Withdrawn in December 1963 and cut up at Cashmore's Great Bridge in June 1964. The accompanying paperwork shows the carriage charge of this particular plate from Swindon to Stroud for 4/7d.
